What Happens if the Delivery Truck Can’t Access My Property?

Our logistics team reviews every delivery site prior to scheduling your container delivery, and any marginal site usually needs additional photos or a short video of the delivery path the truck will take. If we’re not confident we can deliver, we’ll sometimes show those photos or videos to the driver to get their opinion. We tend to be cautious about dispatching to tight delivery sites, so it’s unlikely we’ll even send the driver if we don’t think we can deliver.

Key points

  • Our logistics team will review your site prior to delivery to avoid issues.
  • You may be required to provide additional photos or a video of the site prior to scheduling the delivery.
  • If the site is still marginal, we may elect not to dispatch a truck and fully refund your order.

Before dispatch vs after dispatch

We do our best to avoid this problem before it starts by conducting thorough reviews of delivery sites prior to scheduling. If you’re not sure about your site, contact us and we’ll be happy to have someone from our logistics team review it prior to delivery. If we can’t confidently deliver to your site, we won’t schedule delivery and will issue a full refund. However, if we dispatch a truck and the site isn’t what we expected it to be, you will be charged a dry run fee if the driver cannot safely deliver. Nobody wants a dry run fee (not us, not you, and definitely not the driver), so we try to avoid that on the front end by having our logistics team review your site thoroughly.

If we can’t confidently deliver to your site, we won’t schedule delivery and will issue a full refund. If we dispatch and the site isn’t what we expected, a dry-run fee may apply when delivery can’t be completed safely.
