Cargo Worthy (CWO)
A used container that can pass a CSC Survey and be used for export.
Cargo Worthy containers are used shipping containers intended for cargo and export when a CSC Survey is completed. They keep weather out and remain structurally sound, but cosmetic wear and signs of previous service should be expected.

What does “Cargo Worthy (CWO)” mean?
Cargo Worthy (CWO) means the container is structurally suitable to be stacked while loaded on a cargo ship after it passes a CSC Survey. CWO is primarily an export-grade condition — used equipment that shipping lines still consider cargo-capable, even though it is no longer a One Trip unit. CWO containers also make solid storage containers.
CWO is not a cosmetic upgrade over Wind & Water Tight. Both are used containers with surface rust, dents, and prior-use wear. The difference is export eligibility: CWO can be surveyed for ocean stacking; WWT cannot.
Cosmetic wear should be expected. Condition varies from unit to unit, so buyers should expect dents, surface rust, faded paint, and prior-use markings as normal. If you’re concerned about appearance, pressure washing and painting your container goes a long way.
The practical choice is use-case, not looks. If you need export, choose Cargo Worthy or One Trip. If you need economical storage, WWT is usually the better value.
